History with the
company (Sweet/Ortivus):
I was hired in February 1994. I started as the front-desk receptionist for a few months and then moved to sales as a Sales Assistant. In 1997 I started full-time as a Sales Rep and in May 2004, I became a Sales Manager of the inside staff, in addition to maintaining a sales territory.
Current position:
Sales Manager and Account Manager for EMS Billing, Field Data and Online inside sales.
Most memorable event since you’ve been with the company:
I have so many memories after 13 years, I can’t list them all. I recall the days in the West Union, Iowa office, working through the DOS days of Amb 3.2 and then A2000. My most memorable time probably occurred in February 2002. We just released our promotion to our customers to upgrade from A2000 to Amazon. I was expecting my 3rd child and was 9 months pregnant at this time. The month of February was so crazy and so exciting to see all the customer upgrades. However, I didn’t make the very last day of month because I was in labor and having a baby. I’ve been through four maternity leaves through the last 13 years and the company has always been very good to me. Working here has given me the chance to do some traveling, as well as see some neat sites throughout the years.
Most enjoyable part of your job:
The most enjoyable part about sales is that I have a great product to sell and can really help the customer. I truly enjoy talking with my customers and getting to know new customers. Through the sales process, you really get a chance to know your customer on a personal level and I have met some great people. And of course - my co-workers ~ I couldn’t get through each day without the support of my co-workers (friends) at Ortivus. We are a strong and knowledgeable group and everyone here plays a key role to make this company successful!
Other Relevant or Interesting Information:
My Husband Mike and I have been married for 14 years and have four daughters: Megan - 11; Kelsey - 9; Makayla - 5 and Katrina - 2. We live on a family generation farm south of Decorah, Iowa. Outside of my job, I spend my time with my girls and family and volunteering at the extra-curricular activities that come along with the kids.

History with the company:
I started working for Ortivus four months ago. I was looking forward to working within an environment which is in the cutting edge of technology. I am very glad to be part of the development team.
Current position:
My current position is Intermediate Software Developer.
Most memorable event since you’ve been with the company:
From a personal standpoint, two things were new to me: For the first time in my life, I played hockey and golf: most of my colleagues at the Montreal Office play all together every Tuesday after work and it is very entertaining. This initiative from Ortivus Employees is very remarkable, and makes the atmosphere fun. My Golf experience was an Ortivus outing which took place on a beautiful sunny Friday. I must admit that these activities were lot of fun. From a professional standpoint, I have been learning a lot while using new impressive technologies. So, still today, I am still learning something new every day…really cool!
Most enjoyable part of your job:
The world of emergency is an area which requires handling a large flow of information coming from various sources, and which has constraints for the least critical: real time applications, large databases, networking and business modeling. The software in this field must show great engineering, whether it is from the point of view architecture, algorithmic or ergonomics. It is a pleasure for me to work in this field of applications and be part of a team that strives to find solutions to the various challenges that we face.

History with the company:
I started with Ortivus on March 19th 2007. I enjoy working at Ortivus because I learn new things each day. Ortivus is close from my house, so it is convenient for me and it allows me to spend more time with my family instead of waiting in traffic.
Current position:
Software Developer
Most memorable event since you’ve been with the company:
Since I started at Ortivus, I participated in the yearly Golf tournament (my first ever!) and I although I never thought I would enjoy this sport, I truly did! Also, I discovered an appreciation for hockey, since I joined some of my fellow colleagues in this after-hours activity. This is great fun!
Most enjoyable part of your job:
I enjoy working as a Software Developer because I work with a great and dynamic team.
Other Relevant or Interesting Information:
I like sports. I play tennis, volleyball and soccer. I also recently bought a Sea Doo after a friend of mine let me ride his Sea Doo this past summer. I really liked it!
