History with the
company (Sweet/Ortivus):
I first began with company about 12 years ago in Management Information Systems. I became the director of the MIS department. Then I moved into a specialized department that trained, supported and sold one of our product lines. I then moved into the role as the Director of Sales.
Current position:
Vice President of Sales
Most memorable event since you’ve been with the company:
Most of my memorable moments occur when I am traveling. I would say probably the most memorable was a Go-Kart accident. You may think that probably was no big deal, but in the end, it was pretty painful. It all started when I attended a conference in Georgia and someone got the brilliant idea that we should go Go-Kart racing. I wasn’t really excited about doing this and in fact showed up intentionally a little late so that I could just watch. Well, I showed up when the other vendors who had attended the conference decided to race against each other. They thought that I should join. I guess the competitive side came through and I decided that I would compete. Everything was going well until the mishap. I ended up hitting a wall and then was t-boned by another Go-Kart. I was transported by one of our customer’s ambulance to the hospital. I broke two ribs and a collarbone. I got back to my hotel room around 2:00 am the next morning and was back on the road to the airport at 6:00 am. The journey home was rather long and painful. I fortunately had Ross Hadley with me to help get home or probably would not have made it home that day. I remember looking up after the accident and seeing a group of about 30 paramedics/attendees looking at me and the same sentence kept running through my head, “Just let me keep my clothes on.”
Most enjoyable part of your job:
I enjoy working with both my coworkers and our customers. Over the years, my coworkers have become like a second family to me. We also have such great customers and have had some great opportunities to meet over the years.
Other Relevant or Interesting Information:
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband Dave and I enjoy cooking, going to the Mississippi River, and just spending time outside (which with Iowa weather that is sometimes difficult to do). The boys Dalton and Dallas keep us busy with their activities and even enjoy Go-Karting around our place.

History with the company:
I was hired on January 7, 2008 as the Information Systems Administrator for the Montreal office.
Most memorable event since you’ve been with the company:
My most memorable experience so far as been helping with the move to the new Montreal office location and being involved in the planning and the purchasing of the needed equipment, which involved scheduling product deliveries and ensuring that all items arrived on time and ready for the new office. The reward came in watching all the pieces of the puzzle come together and seeing the new office come to life with very few unforeseen issues.
Most enjoyable part of your job:
The most enjoyable part of my job is working with great people that are supportive and willing to help, coming in everyday to face new challenges and being able to overcome them, and finally, going home with a sense of belonging and accomplishment. |
