The North American division of Ortivus is now providing RSS Feeds from its web site. RSS feeds will contain the latest information on company news, products and services – such as upcoming webinars, as well as important EMS and Public Safety industry news.
What is RSS?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds are free content briefs of information that notify users of news or content changes to a web site. The feeds generally contain headlines, summaries and links back to the article on the web. RSS/News Aggregators (also called Readers) will download and display RSS feeds for you. A number of free and commercial News Aggregators are available for download.
Many aggregators are separate, "stand-alone" programs; other services will let you add RSS feeds to a Web page, such as Yahoo, Google or MSN. Below are a few newsreaders/aggregators, as well as the links to personalize a Yahoo, Google or MSN page equipped with this functionality.

What are the benefits of using an RSS Feed?
RSS feeds are beneficial because they can change as often as the owner deems appropriate to deliver the latest information. A subscriber can delete the feed at any point and the concept of “opt-in only” eliminates the potential of this communication method becoming polluted with SPAM. The flexibility of choosing which RSS feeds a person subscribes to is comparable to a person being able to customize their morning newspaper and have only the headlines and articles of interest featured in the publication. The difference, however, is that because of the internet platform, the headlines can be updated several times a day to deliver – truly – the most up-to-date information.
