Ortivus' Florida Run Sheet 2007 Module earns EMSTARS Export Compliance

In addition to being NEMSIS Gold Certified, Sweet-Billing and Sweet-Field Data can now export data to the Florida EMS Tracking and Reporting System. EMSTARS is developed by the State of Florida and is currently in a pilot deployment phase.

Florida Medi-Van Ambulance is a participant in Stage II of the pilot program, and has completed testing with EMSTARS, demonstrating compliance with the Florida EMSTARS dataset, validation and file format rules.

This successful compliance testing clears the way for other Ortivus customers participating in the EMSTARS pilot project to begin submitting data to the state.

Dan Voss, Ortivus Product Manager for Sweet-Billing and Sweet-Field Data stated, "We're very happy with the effort that Florida Medi-Van Ambulance made to complete this testing with EMSTARS, and with the outcome of this testing. Our effort to create an export compatible with EMSTARS was made much easier by our recent focus on  becoming NEMSIS Gold Compliant with Sweet-Billing and Sweet-Field Data. We view participation in this pilot project as a way of demonstrating our belief in the value of well-designed state data systems and as a way of confirming our commitment to the EMS Industry in Florida."

The EMSTARS pilot project is planned to run through March  2008. Full startup of EMSTARS for all Florida EMS Providers is projected for July 2008.

The Florida Run Sheet 2007 module is available for Sweet-Billing and Sweet-Field Data.
