Ortivus Achieves NEMSIS Gold Compliance
Ortivus is thrilled to announce that Sweet-Billing and Sweet-Field Data have been certified as NEMSIS Gold Compliant. Only a handful of EMS software providers have achieved this rating, and Ortivus is proud to be in that elite group. In addition, Ortivus is the ONLY EMS software vendor to offer both an integrated field data collection and billing system that has achieved NEMSIS Gold Compliance.
Gold compliance is the highest level of compliance that is certified by the NEMSIS Technical Assistance Center. To achieve Gold Compliance, a vendor must demonstrate that all of the NEMSIS dataset elements have been implemented in the compliant application. But what does this mean for EMS providers? It means that when a state decides to adopt the NEMSIS standard for collecting data, EMS providers are assured of having the software capability needed to collect all the data by choosing a NEMSIS Gold Compliant EMS software system. The Sweet software applications – Sweet-Billing and Sweet-Field Data - is such a system: NEMSIS Gold Compliant.
Ortivus recognizes the need in the EMS industry for a uniform set of data that can be collected and analyzed on a national basis to benefit the EMS industry as a whole. Ortivus also recognizes that not every EMS organization has the need to implement an electronic patient care reporting software and that many of these same agencies are entering data into their billing systems and then are entering some of the same information into state provided web pages. This duplication of effort only serves to decrease the efficiency of an agency.
To promote the collection of NEMSIS compatible data and provide agencies the most flexibility for gathering and submitting the NEMSIS data, Ortivus has made a significant investment to integrate the complete NEMSIS data set into both Sweet-Billing and Sweet-Field Data. All customers will have access to the complete NEMSIS data set when version 5.3 of these products is released. Check www.ortivusna.com periodically to find out release dates.
For more detailed information on NEMSIS, Ortivus will be holding a webinar in early 2007. You can also visit the NEMSIS website for more information as well: www.nemsis.org.
