Ortivus NA Public Safety Software Earns Respect
Ortivus North America (NA) continues to earn the trust, respect and ultimately – business – of more and more organizations with responsibilities for public safety. Ortivus NA develops, sells and services public safety software that includes 9-1-1 call-taking, automatic vehicle location, computer aided dispatch (CAD), vehicular (mobile CAD) software and interface applications. Some noteworthy installations that have been completed include :
- The U.S. Naval Air Station at Sigonella (NASSIG) based in Italy, began operations with their AVeL software in April of 2005. The system that NASSIG utilizes includes the computer aided dispatch and automatic vehicle location system (AVeL-CAD), as well as the AVeL-MobiCAD mobile data component and the AVeL-RadioGATE message switch. This integrated line of software also interfaces with other software and databases to provide NASSIG the most immediate and thorough information available.
- The U.S. Army War College, Carlisle Barracks, located in Pennsylvania, completed implementation of AVeL-CAD and AVeL-RadioGATE in September of 2005. With the computer-aided dispatch and automatic vehicle location software, Carlisle Barracks will track vehicles in real time on a map in their dispatch center. The radio communications gateway components will enable communication and interface connection to critical sources of information, such as the National Crime Information Center and the National Law Enforcement Telecommunications System. The fluent access to information and communication equips Carlisle Barracks personnel to make quicker and more informed decisions concerning their National public safety duties.
