Save On High Fuel Costs: Attend An Ortivus NA Webinar Instead
New technologies continue to change the way we do things - at an increasingly rapid rate. Continuing educations courses, advanced learning opportunities, and software demonstrations can now be accomplished in a more convenient format.
Webinars – or Web-based seminars/presentations – allow people the opportunity to learn from the convenience of their own office or home. With shrinking budgets, rising costs of travel, and the ever increasing busy-ness in schedules, people are looking for better options for gaining information. Webinars offer a forum that eliminates travel costs and consumes only a fraction of the time that an event at a physical location does, therefore, popularizing this method of gaining information.
What is a Webinar?
A webinar (web + seminar) is a great way to learn from others – regardless of what state or county they live in - without having to travel. With just a phone and a computer, anyone can participate in these events. If bandwith allows, the phone can be eliminated and the participant can listen via voice over IP through their computer speakers. The webinars combine several forms of communication and interaction, such as viewing online presentations, instant messaging for question and answer sessions, the ability to 'raise your hand' for a question, voting on issues, drawing on a 'white board,’ sharing out desktops and applications and documents and so forth. More information on this question is found on our website.
Ortivus North America (NA) believes that Web-based delivery of information will continue to increase in popularity and is committed to delivering quality information in the EMS and Public Safety industries. Some of the recent Webinars that Ortivus NA has produced include:
