Ortivus North America Embraces New Computer Platform

Ortivus North America decided in early 2003 to capitalize on new product announcements from Microsoft for software developers. Microsoft launched the “.NET” initiative in 2001, and has already seduced a large portion of the world software development community since then with two (2) generations of state-of-the-art development tools (Visual Studio .NET) and platforms (.NET Framework).

The new development tools are now sufficiently mature. They impose better software designs on developers, which result in higher-quality code and faster software development. Ortivus developers have jumped on this proven technology to consolidate, simplify and rejuvenate the core (server) software systems upon which your software depends. Ortivus now develops new features only within the new .NET Framework, and over time, will move all products and features to the new platform.

These changes will remain largely transparent to Ortivus North America customers, but are designed to ensure the long term survival and health of the Ortivus system. Ortivus is committed to the supply of mission-critical software systems to EMS and public safety agencies. These systems must and do rely on only the best software platform and design principles.
